MPS Kicks Off the Holidays

M Powered Strategies kicked off the holiday season in style by collecting over 50 pairs of shoes from all our consultants, and donating them to the annual shoe drive of Kicks 4 the City, which provides footwear to homeless families across the country every year just before Thanksgiving and the start of winter. Spearheaded by MPS consultant, Marci Owens, MPS’ effort went beyond amassing an impressive array of new or lightly used shoes: the company also kicked in $20.00 for each pair.

On a chilly mid-November Saturday, with the help of DC nonprofit Martha’s Table, Kicks 4 the City provided a hot Thanksgiving dinner and a free pair of shoes along with hats and socks to each woman, child and man who walked through the door in need. Thanks in part to the generous donation from MPS, they were able to give back to a thousand families. As Marci noted, “The day was long, but the smiles on all the faces were so worth it.”
